Two posts in two days !!!

Well I could almost say I'm on a roll as this is my second post in two days after a really long absence!! I'm just putting up some photos to show what I've been busy with and also a couple of my very special purchases.

I started making some cushions a couple of months ago , I really enjoyed it and so I made some more .. and more ... and more .... I've made over 300 now but have sold lots of them to my mini friends, its lovely that people have bought them but also a little nerve-wracking :-) I hope you like them.

This one was just for fun as its a copy of my own cushion!

Now this is one of my favourite recent purchases as I so love miniatures which are real & life like .... this pram from Gill Red Bloor(

Teenytinythings)

is just adorable, it converts to a buggy and even has its own rain cover.

I so loved my pram that I asked Gill if she could make me a shopping trolley and she did!! How fantastic is it?

Its Giveaway time on my poor neglected Blog!!!

To my loyal Blog followers ....where do I begin?? 

When I started my Blog in early 2011 I wondered if anyone would read it but was immediately welcomed into the mini Blog community. I posted at least once a month and regularly followed everyone else's posts.

Then I fell by the way side, I have still been very busy mini making but am shocked to realise I haven't posted in over three months. Yet amazingly my followers are now over 200, I am so happy and promise to post more often again :-)

To thank you all I have put together a collection of my cushions, cannisters and other kitchen bits in aqua & pink, if you would like to enter the draw please leave a comment here or on my Facebook Page and I'll pick a winner on 24th May.

There are three linen cushions, a canvas shopping bag with a french loaf from My Patisserie Francaise, a peg bag, a cookie tin, a set of 4 cannisters, 4 placemats, a bundle of tea towels, an oven glove and glass jar.

Roomboxes for Christmas

I just can't believe that we are into February already and that it's over two months since I posted on my Blog. 
Because I know in my heart that I really can't have any more houses I have been looking at revamping some of my original Edwardian Houses and am determined not to start any new projects until I have sorted through my whole collection of miniatures and rediscovered what's in all my boxes!! It can be quite a revelation I can tell you ... I have found some beautiful things I'd forgotten about and which are far too lovely to be in boxes and I have also identified things which I no longer need and I've sold one house and around 30 dolls and still got a way to go ... money to spend on new miniatures :-)
Just before Christmas I made two roomboxes as gifts; one for my cousin who is not a miniaturist but asked for something in a shabby chic country style and one for my daughter who has recently bought her first flat and I based it on her room which we all helped decorate.

The basic roombox with a bay window added to provide the window seat. I think I like window seats in my minis because I'd love to have one for real!

The mannequin started life as dark wood, I painted it white and decoupaged strips of a lovely pink floral paper.

The finished roombox complete with her little dog Pixie.

Happily my cousin loved it and here it stands in its new home.

This is the kitchen/ living room in Lynsey's flat and we had great fun decorating it ... I wish I'd had "before" photos to show as it really was stuck in a 70's time warp!!

This is my mini version of the kitchen, I love the stools which were from Elf Miniatures.

The French baguette is from Christel Jensen and the fabulous cheese platter from Amanda Speakman.

Sophie, one of Lynsey's favourite cats when she was wee.

That's it for now, on with the tidying and organising before moving on to one of the many revamps that I've got planned.

I'm dreaming of a pink Christmas

This box was my nursery and Ive re-papered it using this lovely pink & green striped paper from Itsy Bitsy. Its destined to be an extension to my Patisserie Francaise to house my growing collection of pink cakes but just for December its my Pinklicious Christmas!!

As usual I've filled the shelves with cannisters and the beautiful Christmas Tree Teapot and mini ornament are from Catherine Rohal on Ebay.

The pink gerbera cupcakes are from Miniature Patisserie

I made the nutcracker themed placemats, wrapping paper, ribbons etc. The Christmas tree and lollipops are also from Cathy Rohal.

 The Christmas Stocking was printed on Supersoft Paper which feels like fabric but has the body of paper, I love it and the cute little teapot hanger is also from Cathy Rohal, its not really Christmas themed but I just looked out all my favourite pink 'bits'

And talking of my favourite pink pieces here is my little girl from the hugely talented Lisa Johnson-Richards, she is just adorable ... Lisa & the doll!!

Just for the record my own Christmas theme is NOT pink, its silver and white and I love that too. I wish you all a happy and healthy Christmas holiday however you spend it.
